Sunny Portugal - Spring 2010 –The beaches, mountain & rivers of Portugal set the stage for endless discoveries, which is perfectly in tune with this country’s persona.
Blacktop & Blue Skies - Fall 2009 – Twenty years ago we set out for Baja to photograph our very first catalog. To celebrate that auspicious event, we’re hitting the road again.
Greece - Spring 2009 – We were prepared for the Greece of legend, from The Iliad, to The Odyssey, to Bulfinch’s Mythology. The Greece of reality, though, is far more fascinating.
Brazil - Spring 2008 – They say that Brazil is a melting pot. And boy, is it ever. A spicy, intoxicating mix of native, African and Portuguese cultures.
Bavaria - Fall 2007 – From castles and villages seemingly plucked from a storybook, to the hardy food, dress and friendliness of the people, it added up to a fall season worth remembering.
Croatia - Spring 2007 – For a place with so much history, Croatia surprised us at every turn.
Peru - Spring 2006 – The country is blessed with astounding natural diversity, from the lush Amazon to the gem blue of Lake Titicaca; from the icy peaks of the Andes to the driest desert on the planet. Peru offered adventure for every kind of adventurer.
Spain - Spring 2004 – The entire castle-strewn, sun-baked country encourages daydreaming. For our first-ever journey to mainland Europe, we chose the hot, dry quiet of central Spain over the more obvious Costa Brava or Costa del Sol.
Fiji - Spring 2003 – There are still wild places where you can hike a jungle without trail markers, sleep in a thatch-roof hut, or comb a beach where the only footprints are yours. On Viti Levu, Aitutaki, Atiu and a handful of motus and islets in between – we discovered the ultimate getaway.
New Zealand - Spring 2001 – a lifetime of close-ups and panoramas in textures, forms and colors like nowhere else on Earth.
Alaska - Spring 2000 – For Alaska first-timers, the road from Anchorage to Homer plays out like an epic coming attraction, a preview of nearly everything the state has to offer.
Scotland - Fall 1998 – We’d heard stories about the light. Photographer friends raved about the colors in the sky and the way the always-low sun cuts through the shifting clouds to spotlight the rolling landscape. Scotland in 1998 was our first autumn journey outside the Western United States.
Baja - Spring 1996 – There are two scales to this land - immense and hand’s distance away. And there are two dimensions of sound - dead still and windblown.
