Not Recommended

2 major issues with this s/jacket: First of all, it is NOT charcoal as advertised, it is OLIVE. Second the fit is for someone very portly. I am 6'2"" 205lbs, in shape, 44L, 36 waist. This jacket fit on the shoulders and arm length but was HUGE through the body. It made me look like I weighed 500lbs. Promptly returned.

GENEROUS cut.

Purchased the 42 long. Nice summer weight wool. We really liked the material. But when he slid it on, it was HUGE. Alas, this is the smallest size offered in Tall. Would fit if you're stocky. Returned with regret.

all around great jacket

I needed something for business and that would also pass for casual. This jacket fits the bill. The sleeves were just a bit too long ($10 at a tailor that problem was resolved) overall I like the style and the look of this coat. The color was charcoal with faint hints of blue and green which makes it ideal with blue jeans or black slacks. I travel all over the world will be taking this coat with me quite often.

Lots of room in belly

This is a nice jacket. The fabric is light weight and will really dress up casual jeans. Its not Olive as BillA mentioned, it is grey/blueish. The problem is that it is very large in the body and if you are not fat, you look look like you are wearing your fathers jacket. I took mine to a tailor and got it fitted more toward my shape. I'm a big mail order buyer, so I expect to tweak the sizing from time to time, but this needed a lot of tweaking to look right.

Hurt feelings

My feelings are hurt. You guys are making me feel fat, even "HUGE," as somebody said. Okay, I'm not one of those rail thin metro models like you see in Eddie Bauer catalogues. I don't have a beer belly, either. That's why I shop here. TA gear fits me. This jacket is no different. I like this sport coat. It does appear a shade lighter in the on-line photo than in real life, but the darker color will work well with different color slacks, khakis and jeans. (But because of the difference in color I'm stopping at 4 stars. Also the photo shows the cuffs pushed up--that may be because the sleeves may run a little long, nothing horrible, however.)I do like the cut and light weight of this wool coat. Perfect! The girlfriend likes the look. Glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews. Another good buy from TA. And it even made the two-day delivery to Wyoming on time. Well done!

This jacket is absolutely a keeper!

This jacket and I will get along just fine, thank you very much to the naysayers. I'm an active 57 years old, 5'9'', 173lbs man; size 40 fits like a fine glove would. This is a nice lightweight wool. To me, this jacket fits the description to the letter. Regarding size issue I've read about, I'll say, this jacket is only a very slight bit roomier than the same size jackets that I purchased 10-15 years ago". I purchased the All-Seasons Silk Jacket in size 42 and this one, size 40. They both fit fine. This jacket will fit many occasions from wearing with jeans, khakis or dress pants. I like the color even more than the photo BECAUSE there is a hint of olive in the check weave. People, artificial light makes a difference and so does your monitor. Anyone swayed by negative feedback may indeed be letting a nice jacket slip away. If you have a slim build, move down 1 size and you may be pleasantly surprised.
