Fit like jeans, look like khakis

I rarely buy pants anywhere else but TA. I consistently get the fit I like and unique fabrics and textures I just don't find anywhere else. I ordered these in burlap and the color is just right. I like the Bedford weave's airyness and the resulting light weight of the pants. A good late summer/early fall choice I believe. I would order another pair in a darker color if made available. Are you listening TA?

Great pants

I first ordered these in chino, and liked them so well I oredered a second pair in burlap. If it ever comes back in stock, I'll order a third pair in the dark grey color, can't remember what it's called. Although they do run a bit large I didn't find them to be a full size larger and I've been ordering my usual size with a very comfortable fit. I love wearing jeans because of the fit, these wear the same as jeans but with less weight and are ""nice"" enough to wear into the office. My wife loves the texture, at first she wondered why I was wearing corduroy in the summer until I explained.

Not just ""one size larger""

I just received my pair. I like the material, but they are going right back. The size 34 that I ordered are in fact slightly over 36"". That is absurd. Customer Service offered to replace them with a smaller size but I declined for two reasons: (A) Those I received fit me well through the hips and thighs, smaller waist might not (B) These are the type of exaggerated low rise cut that is accomplished not by lowering the hip line, but rather by dipping the front waistband over an inch lower than the back. Anything remotely resembling a gut becomes quite conspicuous with such styling.

Great Pants!

These pants are really comfortable and durable. The all-cotton fabric is soft and plush feeling. Great for after work, week-ends, or even casual Friday's.

Perfect summer jean!

Very comfortable jean. Perfect for sneaking in your own jean day at work! I have three pair of these and will get more. The right mix of jean tuff and slack neat, they have their own catagory.

good pants, great price

Had no problems with the fit for my usual W38 L32. The feel of these is like a very thin wale cord. Not too heavy a weight for warmer weather. The overall look and design is very sharp. At the sale price these are good value.

Unique addition to wardrobe

I ordered these pants as a gift for my husband. The fabric has a unique texture and rich color that are unlike most pants in his wardrobe. I'd say the color is a little more intense than what's shown in the picture. My husband has a small build, so we were glad to find pants that aren't baggy in the crotch and thigh areas.

Nice, No Frills Pants

Nice pants that are casual in nature but can be dressed up a bit if needed. The slight rib pattern is a nice touch. Good cut but maybe just slightly long. I'll take slightly long over slightly short any day. I own three colors now and will buy the fourth. Would love a blue someday.

Good lightweight alternative to denim jeans

These five-pocet bedford pants are a nice alternative to heavier-weight jeans when the weather is warm to hot. They are ""ventilated"" thanks to the bedford weave, and the material is lightweight. However, this makes me wonder how durable they will be over the long haul, but that will remain to be seen. The fit is just a bit large in both the waist and inseam, but not so much as to make the pants ultra ""baggy"" like some of the TA denims I own.

Nice for the Price

The fabric has a nice texture and feels like it has a little stretch to it. I wasn't impressed by any of the colors when reviewing online, but I ended up ordering these in chino and burlap due to the reduced sale price and a coupon I had received. The colors are true to the online photos. The chino is a little lighter than I would normally wear (not really a beach pants guy), but my wife really likes them and they work well with a lot of the gray/charcoal shirts I have. They're not white, just a light color. The burlap has more yellow in it than your standard khaki color, and I'm not sure if that's good or bad. I would not have ordered them at the original price, but now that they're here I'll figure it out. The customer service rep told me these were running one size large. I ordered the 34x30 but had to exchange for the 35x30 - I did not find them to be large; they were true to size. For less than $40, these pants are good deal.

Just what I was looking for

Great fit (purchase waist size smaller) I usually get a 35 or 36 waist depending on the pants. 34 x 34 fit perfect. Wash well, wrinkle very little, most comfortable and I get complements everytime I wear them. What more could you ask for?

Early-to-Bedford Five-Pocket Pants

Territory Ahead guidance on the sizing running one size larger was dead right - the pants fit perfectly. These are very comfortable pants, the fabric is soft to touch and the color is easy to match with other clothing.

Nice Pants but ODD sizing

I bougth 2 pair, different colors. They arrived & were different lengths & the sizing was way off. ODD sizing as suggested in the description but still did not help. Good buy if on sale & you can get the right fit.

Excellent Choice

I bought and have worn two pairs of these trousers over the past 4 months. They fit well, wash well and look and feel great! I just ordered the other 2 colors on sale. You can't wear jeans all the time. The fabric will be much cooler than jeans in the summer as well. Give them a try.

Great fabric, skimpy rise

These are made from fair to good quality Bedford fabric. True Bedford cord fabric isn't fuzzy waled, like some of the lesser quality garments being marketed under this name. These are mostly true to the historic fabric. They are thinner and have a lower thread count than some of my vintage examples. They also don't have as nice (soft) of a feel. Considering what contemporary compromises are necessary to hide decades of inflation, the fabric is still an admirable attempt. The rise is too low for my taste. I find this feature not comfortable. I am ""undunlapped"" and have a short torso, so this usually isn't a problem. TA advertises one of their pants as hitting just the right spot in the waist. This is definitely not this pant. I got them for a good price and will try to get use to constantly feeling like I need to hike my britches. The color selection is a little off. The chino is a bit too light of a color. The shale is a bit too much of a mix of black, blue and gray. I find it a bit difficult to match several of my shirts with the shale color. Shirts that have contain a lot of black or gray, and some blues seem to bring out the tutti-fruity tint of this color. In summary, these could be really great pants for the money with a little more rise and changes in the color selection.

As advertised

Bought these on sale and feel pretty good about the value. I am 6'5"" and the 34 inch inseam is fine for me. They look like corduroy but are lighter so hopefully they'll be ok to wear to the office this summer, too.

Wish I'd found them earlier

These are excellent pants. Once you manage to get the right size --- order a size smaller than usual --- they fit beautifully and look great. Fine for casual use, or even dressed up a little. The colors are good, although the two dark grey shades are best: the lighter one is nicely ambiguous, with a very slight brown tint. Some people may find them a little light weight for Winter use, but they are excellent for Fall and Spring especially.

Exceptional Fit

Just love the fit on these. The material is soft and light with a faint corduroy like stripe. Best fitting of all my TTA pants. Plan to get them in all colors when they go on sale. Fit is true to size and the length is a bit long but works great for boots.
