I ordered this in Large-Tall, my normal size, and it's way short in the sleeves! Not a little bit, but a good 2-3 inches! Maybe wherever they make this shirt, that passes for ""tall."" Not here! I checked the label -- it says L-T. Sorry, if you're a tall guy, don't go for this shirt.
Light and Warm!
This is a great, versatile shirt. I expected something much heavier, but was plesaed to try on a very light weight cord shirt. Vibrant colors and a clean look make this great for the office.
Dressy looking corduroy shirt
I bought several of these shirts in different colors. They fit well and look dressy for being a corduroy shirt. They are a little lighter weight than I would have preferred, but I knew that from other reviews when I placed the order. They will be good spring and fall shirts when the weather is warmer. Not a cold weather shirt. Overall I am very happy with the shirts.
Another great Territory Ahead shirt!
Extremely comfortable material - even though it looks like corduroy, it is much softer and thinner. Good 3-season type shirt!
Great casual look
Nothing I do not like about this shirt. Especially like the longer cut in the arms fits and looks great
I really like the fit and look of this shirt. Collar turns up a little too much on the corner tab but still like it.
Great shirt, but not corduroy
I got this shirt in Tobacco and it looks, feels, and fits fantastically. If you want a good shirt like most of the offerings at Territory Ahead then this should be in your closet. My only caution is that I don't consider this to be a corduroy shirt. When I think of corduroy, I think of heavier, bulkier fabric designed to keep you warm and cozy. This shirt is not that. I would probably classify it as a ""Springtime"" corduroy because it's light and you don't even realize it's corduroy until you get close enough to see the actual ribs in the cloth. I know I said caution, but that doesn't take away from what this really is - a good looking, good feeling shirt that you can wear out or in, in all seasons. Absolutely worth it.
Seeing is believing
Saw this item in the catalog. I'm typically not interested in ""tone-on-tone"" shirts. However, the colors caught my eye and I had to see this shirt up close. So, I visited a store in my locale. I'm 5'10"" 195lbs (fireman's build) and I was pleased with the ""true Large"" fit of this shirt. I was afraid that these would sell out -----> as most good items will. So, I bought 4 of them. These are great looking shirts with blue jeans or shorts. I bought the Raven/Steel/dark Forrest/Purple colors and I'm very satisfied with my puchase.
Wear it everywhere
I originally purchased the XLT but returned it for the XL. It was way too long, and I'm 6'3"". The XL fits great, and the weight and feel are very nice. It reflects the light off the ribbing to give it a nice finished upscale look, so I can wear it everywhere. My new favorite TA shirt, out of my collection of 10 in total.
Love the shirt - hated the quality
I bought one of these shirts and love the fit and feel so much that I purchased two more. However, after about 6 months, they are starting to fall apart, literally. Holes are appearing in the shirts, especially around the pocket corners.
Casual but classy
I purchased one and then two more. The fabric is a bit on the lighter side for ""corduroy"". I layer up for warmth and the shirts looks great!
My Favorite Shirt
I bought two of these shirts 18 months ago, and I wear them constantly. After very regular wear and washing (gentle cycle and delicate tumble dry, but STILL), they are just now starting to look a bit worn. I bought a new one recently, and I'm just as happy with the product. These shirts are soft, with a lovely drape. The texture lends added interest to the shirt, and they look nice enough to wear regularly to the office. A great buy.
My go to shirt!
I originally saw this shirt in person while visiting T/A SB. I bought the purple and chili which have been my go to shirt when I'm not sure what to wear. I'm 6ft, 195 lbs and the large fits great. This is the type of shirt that doesn't need ironing, its a great travel shirt that after letting hang most of the wrinkles come out. The shirt is meant to be worn untucked and causal. I care for these shirts by washing gentle and hang or tumble dry. Both shirts after a year just starting to look a little faded. I'm back for the raven and tobacco colors.
One of my favorites
I was looking for a corduroy shirt and stumbled onto this style (and company) during my search--which is very unique. It's not your standard heavy cord material. It's light and stylish. The shirt is more of a light winter / summer shirt because of the light-weight material . It's casual and perfect with jeans. I love the green color and just ordered one in black. I can't speak to the quality (as one reviewer commented on) because I have not worn it enough. I probably will not wash it myself but will dry clean as I do with all my shirts. Not a big deal but the ""user experience"" when it arrived is underwheming. The $70+ shirt came in a padded envelope folded in a cheap plastic/cellophane bag. I am mentioning this because at the same time I received an online order from Tommy Bahama (about the same price point) and the packaking was completely opposite. The TB was almost like a gift package--it was very cool.
Very nice, very, very excellent fit and finish
I bought mine in the steel-color about 2 years ago and it's a nice corduroy fabric but, not your usual corduroy--due to the wider, vertical lines. So unique, so unusual and I like it very much. It is a thinner fabric yes, but not at all too thin and not cold with it on. As being corduroy, it does retain warmth but not like a thicker cord. I still wear a long-sleeve underneath all shirts anyway. It has great style, looks great, feels fine and supple!
One of the better shirts
Stylish, untucked, different, smooth. I would buy a second color. Have pomegranate, going to buy raven. Have had problems with other shirts (too large, too thick, etc...), but this one is perfect. Kudos.
I would call this more of a corduroy pattern than corduroy. It's a thin shirt with slightly raised stripes. I bought two shirts from TA a couple years ago that looked just like this in the photo. I thought I was ordering same with this. But the previous ones were thick, more like what I think of as corduroy. I was disappointed with this version.
Granted it's not a bad shirt, but the ""steel"" color is not close to what's shown online. It's charcoal gray with bright orange stitching and buttons. It's also pretty hard to tell it's corduroy - very light weight.
You can call it corduroy
This is a great shirt but not what I call corduroy. It is much lighter but the frabric has a great feel. The off color stiching and the shirts color contrasts are an eye catcher. Wore the pomegranate on valentines day and got many favorable remarks about the feel, texture and color of the shirt. A good hug goes a long way. Liked it so much I also got the steel. The price was right too. The ladies gave both colors the thumbs up but liked the pomegranate more.
Received the Raven color in MT and was disappointed to find that the stitching is brown thread, which I find unattractive with the Black color shirt. I ordered these same shirts as a gift a few years ago and don't believe they had the contrast stitching on them at the time. Also, zooming in on the photo with the Raven color selected does not show the brown stitching or I probably would not have even ordered. Now I am paying to return this shirt, unfortunately.
