Different sizing than shorter skirt?
I love this skirt, but am completely baffled by the sizing, and am tired of having to pay extra shipping charges. I bought the knee-length skirt, and had to exchange for larger size, and it was still tight. So this full-length I bought two sizes up, and it is too big, but based on the knee-length it should be just right. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED SHRINKING? Maybe my shorter skirt shrank, but I didn't think so.
The fit of this skirt was perfect except for the length. I am 5'3"" and the skirt fell to the top of my feet. I loved it so much; however, I just had the length altered.
A TEN STAR SKIRT!
I have been buying variations of this skirt from Territory Ahead since it was made with a sort of patchwork thingie on the side and had rivets. I've owned it in every color and length and have even bought duplicates of the exact same skirt because I'm so happy to have found a skirt that not only looks good but actually feels comfortable, too. I find this skirt to be very slimming around the hips and tummy (exactly where I need that sort of help.) From the knees down, it has a really nice flair to it that sort of spins real pretty-like when you move. And to have belt loops on a skirt like this! Heaven! The nubby, thick linen makes it a 3 season ""go-to."" In the fall, pair it with cowboy boots. In the spring, chunky clogs. And in the summer it looks great with hurraches. Even in the summer, it breathes and moves and feels cool - for SURE cooler than some lightweight, sweaty rayon/""microfiber"" flowered number that might look ""cool and summery"" but makes you feel like you've punched a waist in the top of a hefty bag and are wearing it as a skirt. The quality of this linen makes it look like something you picked up while you were on vacation in Europe. I am a big-time linen-lover, but have had to ditch MANY linen clothes because of the high maintainance factor outweighed the comfort. You know the type of linen I'm talking about: iron your linen jacket just before leaving for work but by the time you climb out of your car to head into your office you look like you're wearing a giant crumpled post-it. Get this: Not only do I not need to IRON my lovran linen skirts when I take them out of the dryer, it remains wrinkle-free while I'm wearing it. THAT is how wonderful this linen fabric is. My only gripe is that Territory Ahead doesn't make this skirt in more colors and bigger sizes.
New England (but wish it was the West, sigh...)
Love this skirt!
I purchased this skirt in wicker and am so pleased with it. The linen is just the right weight to be ""drapey"" so it swings when I walk, which I love. It fits me perfectly and is very slimming in spite of the light color. I will get the slate color when the weather turns a bit cooler. It has belt loops and would look chic with a belt and top tucked in, but I plan to wear it with a longer top.
Great heavy linen fabric and drape. I am 5'4"", which is not petite but definitely not tall. This skirt comes to my ankles. Therefore will look best with heels. I found the waist to run small, so returned first order and ordered a size up. Hope that works. Would be nice to be comped shipping of simply exchanging!
