Like a soft leather glove
I am not a boot person, but I want to be. I have not found a pair of boots that I am truly comfortable in, in a long time. I think these boots may be what I have been looking for. I have a slim ankle & calf, and had no problem getting these on or off. They felt tight at first ( I ordered my normal 8.5) but after about 2 minutes walking around my livingroom they felt like I never wanted to take them off. I like that they look good, not too ""sloppy"" nor too structured. Versatile. BTW, this is without socks. If you like heavy socks, these may be snug. I haven't worn them for any length of time yet, so don't know how much they may stretch.
As soon as I pulled the boot out of the box I knew that I had picked a winner! The workman ship in making the boot along with choosing the leather (which is like butter) is incredible! You don't find all this in boots anywhere unless of course you are paying hundreds of dollars. The other important factor for me is that I have thin legs and they fit my calf perfectly. I can wear them up or crunch them down. I usually don't buy the same boot but if I won the hundred dollars I would put toward the black pair. Can't wait till fall!
I love boots, especially ""real"" leather boots and when I received a coupon, I jumped on these. They are perfect, the color (I bought the brown), the softness, the comfort, the look. When I received the brown pair I wore then around the house in the pj's for a while because they looked and felt so good. They are great with jeans, pants, long skirts, leggings w/ a tunic. They are so great, I am back today for a black pair.
just do it
When these boots arrived and I walked around in them for a few minutes, I knew I could put them to good use. They went straight back into the box and high on a shelf. I swore to myself that I would not wear them until I had cleaned and organized the garage, repaired my relationship with my mother , finished my taxes, completed my PhD dissertation, and filed for my utility patent. I worked feverishly and it was worth every moment of all that pain. I am wearing them now, as I have for the past several days (even sleeping in them!) and I think I wish I'd found these boots earlier in life, because life is perfect now.
