Few items beat a top-notch safari jacket, and the craftsmanship and attention to detail behind this one truly—if you’ll forgive the pun—separate it from the herd. (Make that the crash, if we’re talking rhinos.) The fabric has been pigment printed, resulting in a handsomely aged effect from day one. Authenticity throughout, from the round edge pocket flaps and collar point to the oversized and box-pleated pockets. Backside rear inverted pleat, which provides additional ease of movement. Removable self-belt, a slimming detail with a nod to the 70s. Antique brass buckle. Heavyweight twill is tough enough to rebuff bushveldt thorns—though we can’t promise it’ll keep all claws off you, human or otherwise. One interior pocket and faux-horn buttons with nylon grosgrain ribbon anchors. Unlined, but expertly finished with indigo chambray bound seams. Contrast chambray collar band and chambray pocket-flap linings. 100% Cotton. Machine wash. Classic fit. Size large is 32” in length from the center back. Imported.

I am overall pleased with the jacket. The only criticism is that the stitching at the bottom of the shoulder expansion (inverted pleat) snapped on first wearing. I was surprised by this because this jacket was intentionally purchased a size larger for a loose fit. I manually repaired it myself with a couple dozen stitches with nylon thread, and it seems to be just fine now.
