Wonderful jacket
Great quality, great style, not inexpensive
Great jacket... but HEAVY
There's a company that sells "John Wayne" ranch jackets, but they don't offer tall sizes. I'm just about the same height as John Wayne was, so I need the tall size and now I have it! The other person this reminds me of is Lorne Green's Ben Cartwright. So the style is right, and it's a good look for me. I can't tell you about how warm the jacket is, because I live in Florida and won't know until next fall/winter. Other than imagining Western stars of yesteryear, I need a jacket for the office, as it is sometimes just plain too cold inside (one of the weird characteristics of Florida). But, as must as I like this jacket, it is just plain too heavy to wear sitting at my desk. One other note; the stitching on my jacket is a bit "rustic" as well; you could easily imagine this coat is being FROM the 1800's. So if you're thinking of the perfect fit and finish of Ralph Lauren, this jacket isn't it. But I kept it, didn't I?
