Island Referee Lounge Shorts
No two are quite alike… And this is definitely one of our favorite “how’d they do that” batiks. Cotton poplin batik, featuring our signature stripe. Our batiks are the result of a labor-intensive technique dating back hundreds of years in Indonesia. A hand-carved block is used to manually add wax to the fabric’s surface, and after each dye application, a new portion of the pattern comes to life. The final product features a contrast-heavy print with a light crackling effect. Carved pinwheel buttons at front fly. Cotton chambray interior pockets. Single back pocket. Full elastic waist. Exterior drawcord. 100% cotton. Machine wash. Imported.

Comfy, and Darker
Batik prints mean you get different dye combos. My pair of shorts is quite dark in all of the tan colored stripe spots, so the shorts are essentially brown as the primary color rather than the colorfulness standing out. Quite comfortable.

Absolutely love these. Quality material quality stitching, and the batik is rich and vibrant and real not some faux look-alike. It's a lighter fabric, great for summer, but NOT flimsy. This is truly a one of a kind item that I will treasure for years to come. I'm a pretty frugal guy and balked a bit at the price but took a chance. Glad I did.
