I first saw this shirt in the catalogue either at the end of last Winter, or at some point in the Spring and knew I wanted to add it to my wardrobe. I liked the soft, muted colors, very befitting of the name; "Driftwood Paisley". As an added benefit, the inside is a light tan color, so when the sleeves are rolled, it gives a nice contrast that makes me think of a perfect day at the beach. Anyhow, I have been watching the price since it first made an appearance in the catalogue. History shows that when new styles are first offered, they are one price, then after the initial offering, they go to a premium price. After months of waiting, I finally saw the price drop, and bought it in my size. As some of you know, sometimes when playing the waiting game, you settle for a size that may not be exact. For example, if you want a Large and find a Medium/Tall, you may act on it based on the premise that you get an extra inch in the sleeves and 2 inches in the body length. I am 6'1”, 195# and the Med/Tall doesn't always look right. Likewise, if I go in the other direction thinking - “maybe it will shrink a bit”, (which it never does in a proportionate manner) - I swim in it. But in this case, I got the large and the fit is just right. The feel of the shirt mirrors the colors perfectly, it is a soft, light-weight corduroy material which feels like you have been breaking it in for years. On top of that, it a very versatile. You can wear it after a day at the beach, or layer it over a Henley after a day on the slopes skiing as you warm up by the fire. I am very pleased with the shirt, and highly recommend it.
