Penobscot River Vest

Penobscot River Vest
There is no proof that Thoreau wore a vest like this one while travelling up the Penobscot in 1846, however the dashing yet understated look is definitely inspired by life downeast and correctly conveys the wearer is a man with superior taste. Heavyweight, wears like a jacket minus the sleeves. Zip front. Two front ticket pockets. Fully lined. Classic fit. Wool blended with poly for durability and stretch. Dry clean. Imported.

Pretty swell vest!
I'm digging this vest well enough. Thing is, I got one of the last ones in my size which causes to suspect it might have been discontinued. Shame, if that's the case.

Great for cool seasons
As a professional driver, my look is complimented by a vest. It seems to be made and cut well. As always, early reviews may be updated after they are time tested.

A daily cold weather piece of clothing for me here in Maine.
Great. I live in Maine on Penobscot Bay, and have purchased most of my cold weather clothing from LL Bean in Freeport. However, this vest is now a daily wearable for me on cold days. It is a good fit, heavy enough to keep out the cold, but not a burden to wear, and the quality is very high, e.g. a strong zipper and good lining.

the extra layer I needed.
Love this vest. I bought two. It's thick enough to smooth out my least desirable contours, and still thin enough to fit under my normal jacket. Hope you like it too
