A nice durable anorak jacket.

When it comes to quality, it is hard to beat that of Territory Ahead, TA garments. Of course, that quality comes with a bit of a heftier than average price tag. I have gotten pretty good at playing the waiting game to get these high-quality garments into my wardrobe. I first saw this jacket hit the catalogue a few years back and watched the supply come and go. Finally, maybe a year or so back, I saw it made its way into the sale bin for about 80% less than the original asking. Unfortunately, when I put it in my cart to purchase, it was already sold out. These things move fast! About a month or so back, as I was perusing the TA site, I saw the jacket back in the sale bin - And the price – “Fuhgeddaboudit!” I would have been crazy to not buy the jacket, so into my cart it went. Anyhow, I received the jacket super quick (less than a week) later and could not be happier. The jacket is well made and will not disappoint. It is not that plastic garbage bag feeling garment you get from other retailers. The weight is perfect for an anorak style jacket - no wind gets in. It could work on a cool summer night after spending the day on the waves, just as well as it would work for apple picking or hiking (or raking leaves too - I suppose) on a brisk fall day. It will be comfortable for at least 3 seasons, possibly 4 if you layer a sweater under it. As for the fit, I am 6’1”, @190 lbs., with a bit of a middle-aged belly, while I did consider the XL, I ended up with a Large instead, and it fits perfectly! I can even layer a nice heavy weight fisherman’s sweater under it comfortably (without feeling like a stuffed sausage). That being said, it resides permanently in my car, so I always have it available. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend this sand color block anorak jacket from Territory Ahead.
