I’m outside Caffe Florian in Venice, resting my legs, my brain.
Suddenly, I’m alert to an uneasy sensation that the decades are shifting and sliding over each other like tectonic plates.
Who is that woman settling in at the next table? Vanilla skin. Dark hair tucked under a charming straw beret. She orders espresso in a Swedish accent.
And then there’s her canvas peacoat. Very chic. ‘60s mod but somehow entirely fresh. Like nothing I’ve ever seen.
Have I traveled back in time to bring you something beautiful I somehow missed the first time? Interesting notion.
Gorgeously retro spring peacoat in 30% linen and 70% cotton. Interior face binding. Dyed to match buttons at center front. Clear buttons at interior. Large patch pockets. Wide hem at sleeve and bottom hem. Top stitching at collar, hems, pockets, and center back seam. Imported.
